- Oral arguments in the First Circuit, in Parker v. Lexington got some press in Bay Windows yesterday. In this case, some parents make the claim that their rights were violated when a public school teacher read their kids a story involving gay marriage. As someone that thinks that “parental rights” are silly and there is absolutely nothing in the text of the constitution that allows parents to decide what religion their kids will be indoctrinated into, I think the only question that remains is the amount these parents should be sanctioned.
