Massie et al v. Gonzales, 06-2111 (5/27/07) (unpublished). Petitioners are natives and citizens of Indonesia—she of the Ambonese ethnic group and he of Manadonese descent. The petitioners simply fail to show that they were persecuted by the government in the past. The IJ doesn’t impress, because they didn’t order the entire transcript (but prejudice is not shown). However, the IJ’s decisions regarding who could testify as to conditions they did not personally witness are not criticized.
