• A Look at the Machinery of Death.  Getting some press is an ongoing hearing regarding the allegedly “arbitrary” way the death penalty is sought in Connecticut. What is notable about this is that District Attorneys are testifying.  Tnx A Pub. Def.
• Criticism for the 6th Circuit. And SL&P points to an article which says that the 6^th Circuit votes along party lines. If this is true, it would mean that the 6^th circuit judges (and their clerks) don’t engage in legal analysis.  Maybe someone can explain or refute the article.   
• Filter RSS feeds. Even though this tool was used to discriminate between bloggers at C&F, Pipes.Yahoo.com allows you to manipulate and filter existing RSS feeds. Our earlier coverage of things to do with RSS can be found here.  Anyway, The story is quite entertaining.  Apparantly, Amber at “Prettier than Napoleon” doesn’t like the idea of Norm Pattis! Norm Pattis, as you may know, is a lawyer and blogger.  He also owns a bookstore and has a ponytail (and therefore can't be a sexist.)  But, Amber thinks he is a sexist because of something he said about those female bocci players in New Mexico or New Jersey, and a radio host with a cowboy hat whose name sounds like Ipus.  So, using the new “magical science of the interweb” she found a way that she can read Crime and Federalism without having to view Mr. Pattis’ posts, because she risks being converted to Mr. Pattis’ brand of alleged sexism.  She also says, “No sexism in the blogosphere, nosiree.”
