China v. USA regarding dogs

In China, they kill dogs for food.  In the USA, they shoot the mayor’s dogs in the back as part of a “raid” to investigate a package of marijuana.

A sheriff's spokesman has expressed regret over the death of the dogs but said deputies on the scene felt threatened by the pets.

3 out of 4 summer associates would have shot the pups in the back, too, as part of the Global War on Terror.  The opinion changed when shown a picture of the mayor and his wife that seems to affirmatively indicate that they are middle class or above.
