CA1: a doctor loses a political discrimination case
Ayala Rodriquez v. Rullan, No. 06-2543. This is a Puerto Rican political discrimination case. It failed at summary judgment because the plaintiff-doctor employer (a hospital) shows a politics-neutral for firing him: he kept punching in with other people’s ID cards. The doctor’s claim that the decision to fire him came from above doesn’t suffice to make it political because it doesn’t show that an individual defendant acted with political animus.
