Is the First Circuit really that detail oriented?

I assume that this heightened attention to bluebooking means a heightened attention to justice regardless of class or income:

On page 21, line 2: Delete the period directly following the number "8," and replace it with a semicolon. Delete one of the two spaces before "Cf." Replace the capitalized "Cf." with the lowercase "cf."

This is from the Errata to US v. Luisi (our coverage here and the underlying case here).  This is from the same circuit that treats cops like experts.
