out-of-state depositions

Insurance Defense Blog points to this handy article on “how to set up an out-of-state deposition.”  Since this is such a frequently asked question, most people should read it.  The article (perhaps because the author is in Utah) doesn’t go into details on some anomalous courts (e.g. DC Superior Court, Art. I Courts, Military Courts, and some weird stuff regarding arbitration) but it is good enough to get you started for most purposes.
