SL&P provides a letter that Judge Gertner writes to the First Circuit regarding US v. Hansen (our (long) coverage), in which she tells the First Circuit that there probably was plain error in her own decision. It takes a big man to admit they are wrong. It takes a bigger judge to admit that in a Booker pipeline case, their error is plain.
